WHY ARE PEOPLE LEAVING THE SUNSHINE COAST?

I am concerned to hear the reasons that some people are leaving the Sunshine Coast are due to the high cost of living and limited employment opportunities.  Please share your thoughts/experiences.

If you think people are leaving the coast why is the govt preparing for a 75,000 growth spurt over the next few years. When will the coast demographically become too top heavy with wealthy retired southerners[arriving because their doctors advised them to move to a warmer climate for longevity].When will the coast be only doctors, nurses, and patients. It's the strongest industry on the coast.

Developments like Brightwater are OK but how do we atract businesses that will provide the jobs. There is no easy soloution but with high speed broadband we could locate State and Federal Goverment departments to transfer thier operations from the capital cities to the local areas. Offer inducements like no payroll tax, reduced company tax?

There needs to be an efficient rail network. Light rail from Caloundra to Noosa and fast commuter services into Brisbane as well. It is crazy that this rail corridor has been on the maps for many years. An efficient rail system would take pressure off the roadsystem and far more environmentally friendly.
